How is it Presented?
Nest Mate is ground and sifted to give a lightly granular powder that is easy to dispense and mixes well with other foods.
How do I feed Nest Mate?
When hens are feeding young they will accept new foods readily – simply use a finger drawer or small nest box container to offer the hen Nest Mate. Should she be very fussy then add 10 – 20 % Nest Mate to her normal food, dampen slightly with warm water to make it stick, and allow her to get the taste.
Nest mate can also be used as a moist food for any bird, simply add enough warm water to create a moist mass that crumbles easily and supply in a familiar container. Nest Mate can be mixed with any food to boost the nutrition you are giving your birds. It is a highly palatable and readily accepted way to get the best from your birds.
