Benzelmin Paste 32.6g 60's Registered Name: VR Benzelmin Anthelmintic Paste for Horses Composition: Oxfendazole 185 g/kg. Actions: Broad spectrum palatable anthelmintic with wide safety margin for horses. Oxfendazole acts to interfere with metabolic pathways of the parasite resulting in death, and sterilises worm eggs within 24 hours of dosing. Indications: Control of adult and immature Parascaris equorum, Oxyuris equi, Trichostrongylus axei, Strongylus sp., susceptible small strongyles and adult Habronema microstoma in horses; also kills the tissue stages of Strongylus endentatus and aids in control of the migrating stages of Strongylus vulgaris (59 to 88% activity) with a corresponding reduction in arterial lesions. A reduction in the prevalence of associated colic may occur. The boticide trichlorfon may be administered concurrently with Benzelmin. Precautions: May be administered to sick, debilitated or pregnant animals provided normal care is taken in handling them. Safety directions:. Harmful if absorbed by skin contact or swallowed.
